🎯 The Role
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing mission-critical database environments, ensuring optimal performance, availability, reliability, and security across enterprise systems.
You will play a key role in supporting business continuity initiatives and delivering high-impact solutions for client environments within a fast-paced, multi-cloud focused ecosystem.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of enterprise database architecture projects, including Oracle database infrastructure design, implementation, upgrades, migrations, performance tuning, and ongoing support.
Manage a combination of production support and project delivery activities across multiple environments.
Take ownership of production database support by tracking, troubleshooting, and resolving database-related incidents and service requests within defined SLAs.
Review and maintain operational health reports related to backups, maintenance, and monitoring to proactively identify and resolve service issues.
Design, implement, and maintain High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions using Oracle Data Guard, GoldenGate, and RAC technologies.
Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Oracle database server software and associated tools across on-premises and cloud environments.
Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives, transitioning databases to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and AWS platforms.
Plan and execute complex Oracle database upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management activities (including Oracle 19c and newer versions).
Monitor database performance and implement proactive performance tuning and optimization strategies.
Manage backup, recovery, and data integrity processes to ensure business continuity.
Conduct root cause analysis for production issues and implement long-term corrective actions.
Develop and maintain database replication strategies and automated operational processes.
Design and implement database security solutions and best practices.
Define optimal database architecture, server sizing, and storage strategies.
Build and maintain automation solutions for routine administrative tasks, reporting, monitoring, alerts, and notifications using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) 13c+ and custom scripting.
Skills & Experience
We are looking for a proactive, collaborative professional with strong technical expertise and a passion for delivering excellence.
5–10 years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database Administration.
Strong understanding of database architecture, principles, best practices, and Oracle technologies.
Proven experience in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and production support.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Familiarity with database monitoring and reporting tools.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.
Experience as an Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) Database Administrator is highly desirable.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
